Happy Saturday I'm back. Last night I spent getting ready. 1. Download all of my pictures (a ton of them) to disc. Check Download the BIOS executable files to disc. Check Downloaded the motherboard info to disc. Ooops, file to big. Go to hubby's computer and download to CD/writable Check Downloaded the rest of the applications, ie audio, monitor, video. Check Print step-by-step instructions on partitiong the hard drive to install Windows 98 Check Remove printer, camera, scanner and webcam so I can create a backup disc. Check Ok, I am now ready to reformat. I go step-by-step and things don't seep that difficult when it comes to the part that says, "click on unallocated space on your hard drive." There is no place to click. I went back online and searched newsgroups/forums and found my problem. You can't reformat or partition without the FREAKING DISC!!!!! So now I am back to square one except that I did a system restore back to yesterday and of course I have to put all my pictures back in. I guess I'll either have to live with it, go and buy Windows XP to the tune of $160.00 or have the Computer doctor do it to the tune of $80.00. Ya, I can live with it. At least until I get a bad case of the worms. Hot here today. Storms coming tonight. Hubby's making brunch and I need a nap. Later...
