I am soooo confused! THis just keeps getting better. I got my baby back from the doctor today. All fixed and Windows 98 all put in. The only thing he couldn't get working before I got there was the sound. I told him that I could get that going on my own and brought it home. I tried to install my DSL, but no go. It wouldn't recongnize my USB. The biggie came when I called Verizon for tech support. It seems that two weeks ago when we changed our phone number, the phone people never put the order in to the DSL people. So I was informed they couldn't give me tech support until the change was made. I said, ok, no problem. Well it was about to become one. I am told that since the billing department was closed, I will have to call and have it changed tomorrow. Ok, this isn't a big deal until she also says that first of all, she is surprised I haven't lost my DSL yet because that happens if you are using an unauthorized phone number. But are you ready for this? WHen you tell them to change it, it can take up to two weeks to do it. It is treated as a new account. Lovely. Freaking lovely. SO We may lose our DSL between now and then. The upside is that if this should happen, they will give us complimentary dial up until it is changed. The biggest issue is that until the change takes place, my computer will not go online because I need teck support to help me figure out the UBS issue. I can't even download the needed files off from hubby's computer because the are all zip files and I can't uzip them until I get online to download Zip! it on hubby's because Gateway has to scan my computer to download the correct drivers. ARRRGGGGG!!!
The weather was lovely today. I now have 82 appications uploaded at work. Tomorrow is payday. This weekend is my yard sale. I'm still breathing. Yup, It could be a lot worse. (I just need to remember that.)
I am telling you all about the computer problem in case I dissappear for awhile you'll know why. Later... Later,
